This page contains links that will take you to two different pages to learn how to do the following:
1) Make your own batteries for your Mark 15 / 15.5 / 16 Rebreather
2) Install a Whitey Valve Bailout / Gas Switching System in your Mark 15 / 15.5 / 16
Legal Notice and Disclaimer:
Batteries are very serious things in a rebreather. If yours stops working in the middle of a dive, you could be dead-meat. This guide is not meant to teach you how to think, it is designed for those rebreather divers, who want to save themselves a bunch of money by making their own batteries. Nevertheless, don't try this if you don't have a good knowledge of battery handling, soldering, and are willing to take the risk that your workshop battery craps out in the middle of a 5 hour deco. The same could be said for modifications to your unit, on the following pages are detailed modifications made to increase my safety and enjoyment of my unit. These modifications could also kill you. Everything here can kill you. Are you getting the picture? Everything you do with his guide, and your rebreather after reading this, you do at your own risk, OK? Great.
